You might recall, the man was sadly killed after being run over by Suge Knight, who had just gotten into a fight with two crew members from the Straight Outta Compton set.
After the devastating loss, Terry's family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Suge, but also named Ice Cube and Dre as defendants, arguing that they hired gang members to keep the now-jailed Death Row Records co-founder away from the movie's set.
They believe Knight's getting turned away is what caused the Compton native to get so angry that he fatally backed over his friend.
However, a judge recently dismissed the Ride Along 2 star and the Beats Electronics CEO from the suit, saying it didn't make any sense to blame them for Suge's actions.
The lawsuit still stands against the former Death Row Records exec, who also has a murder trial pending for the hit-and-run.

The Kardashian/Jenner family tree is lousy with rappers these days, but Ice Cube made it clear he had no intentions of letting the famous family pick at the fruit of his loins!
The producer stopped by The Late Late Show on Tuesday, when James Corden brought up how Khloé Kardashian said she wanted to "spend some personal time" with the rapper's son O'Shea Jackson Jr.
But it doesn't look KoKo is getting the N.W.A. alum's approval anytime soon, because Cube advised the reality star to "run full speed from my son." Ouch!
Though the producer may have been looking out for the former talk show host, noting his son is "taking full advantage of his stardom," he insisted Khloe stay away from the Straight Outta Compton star because she's still married!
Oh, right — she always seems to forget about that minor detail. LOLz!
Ch-ch-check out the clip (below) to see Cube's full reaction!
But this week, the 46-year-old actor and rapper was finally able to pull it off!
On Saturday night, Cube and the rest of the surviving members of the rap group — MC Ren, DJ Yella, AND Dre — took the stage for a VERY memorable performance!
After Ren, Yella, and Ice pumped the crowd up with Straight Outta Compton, Cube asked the crowd:
"Is there a doctor in the motherf*cking house?"
Of course this is when
In fact, it seems as though the music festival has turned into quite the family affair as Sylvester Stallone, Cindy Crawford, Kyle Richards and more attended the event with their famous broods. LOVES it!
Over the weekend, the Rocky actor took to Instagram to share pics and videos from the A-list filled desert adventure. Not to mention, the time away was the perfect bonding session for the Golden Globe winner and his beautiful daughter Sophia.
For the pic (above), he wrote:
Thursday night was a very emotional night for quite a few basketball and sports fans as it marked Kobe Bryant's very last basketball game.
The Black Mamba certainly went out in fashion as he capped off the end of his 20 year career with the Los Angeles Lakers by beating the Utah Jazz 101-96 and scoring 60 points himself in his final outing!
After the 37-year-old scored his final bucket of the night at the free line, the entire El Lay crowd was immediately on their feet. Not to mention, the famous athlete walked over and gave Shaq O'Neal a hug and, once the final buzzer went off, took center stage to give the crowd a fitting speech (below).
Kobe addressed how blessed he has been throughout his career and thanked everyone from his friends, family, and teammates… before dropping the mic with a "Mamba Out!" LOVES it!
Of course, with #24 being one of the greatest players to ever play the game, he had the world watching him. Not surprisingly, several A-lister took to Twitter to praise the now retired NBA star — including Reese Witherspoon, Kanye West, and even President Barack Obama.
