Jenny McCarthy could have easily had a wardrobe malfunction at the photo call for boyfriend Jim Carrey's film, A Christmas Carol, in Cannes on Monday - but girl's got that shiz covered.
A simple tug to the fabric can do a lady wonders!
Not flashing your areola to all of the world? Priceless!
MGM, along with the Farrelly brothers, Peter and Bobby, are almost done confirming their cast for their latest movie, The Three Stooges.
Set to play Larry will be Sean Penn and playing Moe they'd like to get Benicio Del Toro.
So who's going to play chubster Curly? Execs are going after Jim Carrey for that rule. He's reportedly intent on taking it and is already planning to gain 40 pounds to look more like the portly character.
Seriously, 40 lbs for a movie? Why not just wear a fat suit?!
The film has been in the making for almost a decade. The Farrelly bros, who wrote the script, first went to Columbia and then Warner Bros., before going to MGM and getting picked up.
We're betting Columbia and WB are going to regreat passing this up!
The movie begins production this fall and should be released later in 2010.
So guess what? Jim Carrey and Jake Gyllenhaalwill be starring in a big screen adaptation of the classic musicals Damn Yankees.
Now, before you fret, know that the film is in the hands of power-producing team Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, who have successfully brought to both big and small screens Hairspray, A Raisin in the Sun, and the Oscar winning Chicago.
Considering their resume, we think we can trust them to, as they said, strike "a balance that retains the show's classic tunes like "(You Gotta Have) Heart" and "Whatever Lola Wants," while injecting a contemporary feel on a musical that is firmly rooted in the 1950s. The intention is to get a script from Ganz and Mandel before meeting directors, and actresses who'll want to play Lola."
For now, they've got Carrey down as the devil to whom Gyllenhaal as Boyd/Joe Hardy sells his soul to for the victory of his baseball team.
Jim Carrey was on Larry King Live this week, and the outspoken comedian opened up about his private life and his longtime battle with depression.
Of note, he warned about the hazards of using anti-depressants like Prozac for a long period of time.
Carrey said, "At the risk of like opening up the whole Tom Cruise Prozac argument, you know, I don't disagree in many ways. I think Prozac and things like that are very valuable to people for short periods of time. But I believe if you're on them for an extended period of time, you never get to the problem. You never get to see what the problem is, because everything is just kind of OK. And so, you don't deal. And people deal when they get desperate."
That's why people should seek psychiatric help and talk to a therapist on an ongoing basis.
Carrey says - for him - the solution is "Supplements. It is vitamins. But it's also certain elements of the brain like Tyrosine and hydroxytryptophan that they're treating depression with now. It is a natural substance that's in your brain."
We have to give him credit, at least he sounds a lot smarter than Cruise did when he tried to campaign against pills. Carrey adds, "I'm going to talk a lot about it in the near future." Wonder what he has in mind.
As for his current love life, he says Jenny McCarthy helps him a lot. Though he has no current plans to get married. Adding, "I love Jenny very much, and we have a great relationship. And we've both been married a couple times. I like it the way it is, and I think she likes it the way it is."
In an Us Weeklyinterview that may garner her more than just a little controversy, Jenny McCarthy claims to have treated her son's autism, ridding him of the disorder.
In a move that had the American Academy of Pediatrics pulling their hair, Jenny blames the MMR vaccine that kids receive to immunize them against measles, mumps and rubella for her son's Autism diagnosis. Prior to the vaccination, she says 6-year-old Evan was attentive and affectionate. She says that after the vaccine Evan fell into himself.
It wasn't until after a strict wheat and dairy-free diet that Evan seemed to come out of his spell. While watching an episode of Spongebob Squarepants, Evan responded with laughter, sending his mother into ecstasy.
Jenny has been a rather outspoken advocate of autism awareness and penned several books. Her methods have come under criticism from doctors for fanning paranoid flames in parents.
McCarthy even tried reaching out to Republican Presidential nominee John McCain, overseeing her own political position to connect with the candidate who has likewise spoken out about a correlation between vaccines and autism. But, even after an urgent helicopter flight for an on-screen interview with the senator, the actress was flatly denied because, as his campaign manager said, "He's ahead in the polls, and this is too controversial, and he doesn't want to go one way or the next."
Jim Carrey made the best of the paparazzi shit show in Malibu on Friday and gave them some good photo op!
The Canadian funny man, looking pretty good shirtless - we must say, donned gal pal Jenny McCarthy's swimsuit as they strolled down the beach outside their Independence Day party.
As you know, the upcoming movie The Dark Knight will feature Batman battling it out with the Joker and Two Face.
The original plan was to have the Joker, played by Heath Ledger, return for the next film.
However, given that after his death they more than likely won't recast for the role, some changes have been made and the next villain has been revealed.
If another Batman flick is made, he will then be going up against the Riddler.
The last Riddler was played by Jim Carrey in Batman Forever, though no word on if he'll return. More likely than not - he won't.
Actor Gary Oldman, who plays Lt James Gordon, says of casting choices for the next film, "I don't see why not. I mean, they did it with Katie Holmes' character. I understand that this is a different circumstance, but I think another actor could do the job. I think Heath would want another actor to do the job. Maybe we don't need the Joker. Because we'll have The Riddler."
Katie's character, Rachel Dawes, will now be played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. You know Katie is too "big" now for a Batman movie.
We'll have to watch The Dark Knight first before we even consider watching the next film….though this one is getting GREAT reviews!
