Jim Carrey is remaining positive despite some not-so-good news today.
Both Cat's estranged husband Mark Burton and mother Brigid Sweetman have accused The Mask actor of giving Cathronia sexually transmitted diseases and providing the drugs Cat used to end her life.
In a recent development on Thursday, Sweetman has submitted evidence to the court that reportedly proves the actor knew and intentionally lied about having STDs — namely, Hepatitis A, Herpes I and II, and Chlamydia.
Sweetman said in a statement:
This will certainly complicate things for Jim Carrey.
As you surely know, the A-lister has been slapped with two wrongful death lawsuits over the suicide of his former girlfriend Cathriona White. Both Miz White's estranged husband Mark Burton and mother Brigid Sweetman have accused The Mask actor of giving Cathriona sexually transmitted diseases.
Not to mention, Mark has accused Jim of providing the drugs Cat used to end her life. Also, Brigid has claimed the comedic legend was supposedly emotionally abusive. Oof.
So we can't imagine the news that White reportedly wrote several suicide notes throughout the course of her relationship with Jim is a good sign for The Truman Show star's case. According to TMZ, Cathriona penned several suicide notes over the years before
UPDATE 3:40 PM EST: Jim's lawyer is claiming this new lawsuit is ALSO a sham!
Marty Singer is now arguing that Cathriona had a rocky relationship with her mom, and Brigid is just trying to make money off her tragic suicide.
The attorney alleges Miz White received a crushing message from her momma only days before killing herself, and actually cut ties with her parent.
Marty also insists that Mr. Carrey's ex even left Brigid's home as a teenager, because she was treated so terribly.
The lawsuits just keep coming for Jim Carrey.
The actor is already facing a wrongful death lawsuit regarding ex Cathriona White's suicide — filed by her estranged husband, Mark Burton — claiming he provided the drugs she used to take her own life, and gave her STDs.
And now, Cathriona's mom, Brigid Sweetman, is on the attack.
The momma of the late Ireland native has filed her own legal complaint against the Bruce Almighty star, arguing the 54-year-old gave her daughter three sexually transmitted diseases AND was emotionally abusive.
According to court docs, Brigid claims the Canada native would call Cathriona a "whore," and threaten to keep her quiet about their issues.
But it's interesting to note that, while Mark's suit says Jim gave his ex two types of herpes and Gonorrhea, Miz Sweetman says she contracted two types of herpes and chlamydia.
She also alleges Mr. Carrey initially denied giving Miz White any STDs, but broke up with her when she wouldn't accept his dismissive response.
Brigid claims Jim said to Cathriona:
More details surrounding Jim Carrey and his late ex-girlfriend Cathriona White's relationship have emerged amid the ongoing wrongful death lawsuit filed by Cat's "husband" Mark Burton.
To catch you up, Burton and Carrey have been going back and forth after Burton claimed the actor allegedly gave White fatal prescription pills, and numerous STDs, which led to her suicide last year. The 54-year-old's legal team has maintained The Mask star's innocence by claiming the whole thing is a "desperate, bogus claim made by the ‘husband' of a sham marriage."
Now, intimate photos of Carrey and the Ireland native on Valentine's Day back in 2013 have surfaced — which support speculation that White and Burton only married so Cat could stay stateside.
The shots obtained by TMZ show the comedian and the 30-year-old surrounded by rose petals as they kiss and enjoy a romantic dinner.
The important thing to note here is that Burton and White were married just a month before (on January 15, according the the marriage certificate)… which disproves Burton's claim that he suffered a "loss of companionship" when the beauty died from an overdose of Ambien, Propranolol, and Percocet.
Carrey's attorney Martin Singer argues this evidence proves the "green card marriage" between Burton and White was a total sham, and that Burton is just looking to get a paycheck.
As you may have heard, Mark Burton, the estranged husband of Jim Carrey's late girlfriend Cathriona White, amended his lawsuit against the comedic actor claiming Jim gave White STDs — and now the actor's lawyer is firing back!
Over a year ago, the 30-year-old committed suicide by overdosing on Ambien, Propranolol, and Percocet. Unfortunately for Carrey, White's estranged hubby made some changes to his lawsuit on Thursday to include info suggesting there were texts proving Carrey gave his gf Herpes Type I, Herpes Type 2, and Gonorrhea.
While the Truman Show star initially put the original lawsuit on blast, his attorney Martin Singer has since SLAMMED the STD allegations. In a new statement, Singer noted:
Whoa! We were not expecting to hear this!
On Thursday, Burton amended his lawsuit, and his new allegation against the Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind star is shocking!
According to legal docs, Cat had a text conversation with Jim in 2013 where she said she contracted an STD from him. After getting tested, she had Herpes Type I, Herpes Type 2 and Gonorrhea. Mark says Jim told her to tell no one.
Before she committed suicide in September 2015, White reportedly wrote a letter to the thespian calling herself "damaged goods", and said the diseases made it impossible for her to find another partner after their breakup.
As of this writing, Carrey and his counsel have yet to comment.
As we wrote, the actor denied any wrongdoing in White's suicide, and believes Burton is simply trying to take his money.
We just hope the truth will come out!

Jim Carrey may have a solid defense in regards to this wrongful death lawsuit!
As we previously reported, the Liar Liar actor was slapped with a lawsuit by his late girlfriend Cathriona White's secret estranged husband Mark Burton, who claims the funny man is to blame for the Irish native's death. It's said White committed suicide by overdosing on "stolen" Ambien, Propranolol, and Percocet which belonged to the A-lister. Not to mention, Jim used the alias Arthur King to obtain his prescriptions.
While some might think it's sketchy to obtain prescription drugs using a fake name, it's actually a common practice for celebrities to use a different moniker in order to protect their privacy. In fact, Carrey's legal team assured TMZ that The Mask star acquired the pills using
