Joel Madden understands why Nicole Madden has so many haters - because she's almost perfect (his words, not ours).

"She's a wonderful mother and she looks really hot already," the Good Charlotte rocker tells People. "The girl is gifted, man. Women hate her because she looks good being pregnant and then has the baby and looks sexy. There's something so attractive about her now. It's a motherly glow."

And there you have it.

New dad Joel Madden has given us another update on his infant daughter, Harlow.

The Good Charlotte rocker just posted the following on his official blog:

She’s already growing to fast! So I am at home writing this blog before i head to the DCMA store, and then the DEAD EXEC studio to work. I swear it’s so hard to leave during the day, but always so rewarding to come home to the little family. I’ve always been a guy who loves to love.Probably one of the things that define me outside of my work is LOVE. I had no idea what love even was until Harlow came along.

Me and her mother feel like the luckiest two people alive right now. This time in our life has been amazing. We both look at our little girl every single moment everyday and know there is nothing we wouldn’t do to protect her and her perfect little innocence. It seems like you turn on the tv, or get online and its all bad news.

We dont want her to know any of that yet. I actually never want her to know any of the pain and suffering we see out in the world everyday, or how harsh people can be as a result of it. Having this baby has really made me realize we all start out that way, then somewhere along the way something happens and people go one way or the other. But all started out sweet and innocent just like my little daughter. The world could really make you bitter if you let it, but thats where music, and art come in to save the day.

You’ve got to surround yourself with the things you love. The whole point to DCMA and this site is a bunch of us friends doing what we love, surrounding ourselves with positivity. I want my kid to grow up around that.

My heart goes out to Heath ledger’s family. Too young. too soon. too loved to be gone. It almost seems pointless to say this with the state of the media today, but i hope people will respect what his child and her mother are going thru right now and give them space. May God be with them.

So this one was especially long today on the writing side, i apologize it all just got me thinking."

"ITS A GIRL!!!!!

Well I am finally home with my beautiful girlfriend and our brand new little daughter. Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born on January 11th 2008 at 3:13pm. She weighed in at 6 pounds and 7 ounces. She is 19 inches long and growing everyday already! She really is a wonderful addition to the GC/DCMA/DEADEXEC family.We are so blessed to have this beautiful little baby in our lives.I want to thank everyone for all the love and kind words they’ve sentour way. We apologize we werent accepting and gifts/cards/calls at thehospital, but if you’d like to send something, we’d rather you make a donation to the richie-madden foundation, which we started in Harlow Winter’s honor. She looks so much like her mom its crazy! She eats like a little maniac and shes really sweet. She barely ever cries ,even when daddy is changing her diaper, and believe me i suck when it comes to diapers, but im learning! The new arrival's name is Harlow Winter Kate Madden

"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," Nicole's publicist says.

She's about to give birth any moment now, and Joel Madden sure is taking care of his babymomma!

The Good Charlotte rocker was spotted at Tiffany's in Pasadena on Sunday buying some bling bling, a source tells PerezHilton.com. We hear it's for a certain Nicole Richie.

Now that they have a baby on board, Joel and Nicole, are taking their relationship up a notch.

Though they have yet to announce an engagement, the two have officially and formally moved in together.

"Nicole sold her West Hollywood condo," a source tells us. "She and Joel are living full-time at his place now."

Congrats to the happy couple.

Wonder what they're gonna name their baby???

Nicole Richie's zombie hands are gone!!!!! They're back to normal.

Praise the Lord!

The mom-to-be looked so happy, beautiful and (most importantly) calm at a holiday party in Los Angeles this past weekend for the Richie Madden Children's Foundation.

A little baby Madden is going to be joining this world any moment now. These two have a lot to be thankful for! And it's great that they're giving back.

Kudos to them!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are using their celebrity for good, and that's always a wonderful thing.

The parents-to-be launched their new Children's Foundation on Monday afternoon. They held a press conference at the Los Angeles Free Clinic in Hollywood.

Nicole and Joel donated 100 Mom-to-Be kits to the Los Angeles Free Clinic.

Hopefully they will continue to be active in their philanthropy!
