Johnny Depp has had many memorable roles.

But his most famous role may be his turn in Edward Scissorhands where he plays the title role of an artificial man who has scissors for hands.

In fact, it is SO famous that a 505-million-year-old fossil of an extinct creature has been named after Depp because of this character.

The extinct great ancestor of lobsters has been deemed Kooteninchela deppi .

Here's what a scientist said:

"When I first saw the pair of isolated claws in the fossil records of this species, I could not help but think of Edward Scissorhands. Even the genus name, Kootenichela, includes the reference to this film, as 'chela' is Latin for claws or scissors. In truth, I am also a bit of a Depp fan and so what better way to honor the man than to immortalize him as an ancient creature that once roamed the sea?"

Wow!!!

We wonder if Depp will call the scientist up to thank him!

It isn't everyday that one gets an honor such as this!!!

Which is why we are THRILLED that the steamy Joel Edgerton is joining Johnny Depp in gangster biopic Black Mass!

Now that he's finally stumbled out of the decadent jazz party that is the Great Gatsby, Joel's next role will be that of John Connolly, an FBI agent who assisted one of FBI's most wanted — Boston crime kingpin Whitey Bulger — with various illegal acts.

Depp will play the notorious Whitey.

Oooo we're so glad that Joel is securing himself some killer parts! It's not like he doesn't have the talent — or the HOTNESS — to deliver!

Not only is she beautiful and amazing, but she's getting to spend Mother's Day with the one and only Johnny Depp!!!

Is someone getting on the pill now that her relationship is getting hotter??

COULD SHE BE PREGNANT!?!

…or was it just a routine check-up?? LOLz!

Amber Heard was recently spotted holding hands with Johnny Depp IN PUBLIC! And you can bet your sweet asses that we're excited about it!

Because ever since the relationship was officially put out in the open Saturday night, there is NO MORE MURKINESS!

We now know what we've been teased with FOR MONTHS — that two of the hottest people on the planet are bangin' in the Bahamas! And in LA! And wherever else his private jet will take them!!

So of course our curiosity got the best of us when we spotted this photo of Amber at a local medical building. According to the photogs, Amber was dropped off at her residence in the morning, where she hopped in her Mustang and drove to the doctor's. She stayed for less than an hour.

We totally believe it could be something super simple like a check-up, but like we said earlier — ANYTHING is possible now!

Guess he really built her a bar after all!

Despite reports of relationship issues, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are most definitely ON!

The two were spotted holding hands as they navigated their way through the crowd at the Rolling Stones concert Saturday night.

Held at Los Angeles' Echoplex venue, the concert was packed and the stars made no effort to hide their love for each other as they also LEFT TOGETHER in the same car (above)!!

AHHH!!! SO MUCH SEXXXINESS!!!

How can we contain our excitement over this?? We just can't!!!
