Jon Hamm News Archive
After seven critically acclaimed seasons, AMC's Mad Men finally came to an end on Sunday night.
But was the series finale satisfying as, say, being bought a Coke?
The series that took us back to the world of advertising ended [ SPOILER ALERT ] with one of the most iconic ads of all time, the "I'd Like to Buy The World A Coke" commercial.
And because the "Hillside" ad played right after cutting from Don Draper meditating on a hillside at a hippie retreat, many believed the implication was clear.
Don went on to create the commercial.
Star Jon Hamm says he was "struck by the poetry" of the final moment (which you can watch BELOW). And he has his own view of what it meant for his character. He said:
The sixties are finally over. Mad Men has come to an end.
But how did it end for all your favorite characters?
Find out in this SPOILER-TASTIC recap of the series finale of AMC's flagship original series:
Don Draper always says never look back.
But instead of taking his own advice, AMC has released a promo for the upcoming final episode of Mad Men that is quite possibly the most maudlin, nostalgic thing that's ever been on TV.
Just like every other ad, the trailer gives nothing of the final episode away.
Set to Paul Anka's pretty but in this case on-the-nose Times Of Your Life, the promo instead opts to show best-of moments from throughout the seven seasons.
Of course, it could be worse — Seinfeld did that DURING its final episode!
