Keanu Reeves might not be the man of Tai Chi in his upcoming movie, The Man of Tai Chi, but it sure does look like he's the real life man of Tai Chi from all these moves he's busting out while doing press for the new flick!!
Seriously, it's just nice to see Keanu out there being happy! People joke about him being sad all the time, but
Keanu Reeves has had a terrific acting career, but has had tragic personal losses along the way.
In 2001, his girlfriend, Jennifer Syme, passed away in a car accident just two years after giving birth to the couple’s stillborn daughter, Ava.
Since then, fans have worried that poor Keanu hasn't been the same, especially after a picture emerged last year of the despondent actor eating a sandwich alone on a bench.
Recently, the actor may have found an outlet for some of his sorrow by penning the book Ode To Happiness, which features artwork by artist Alexandra Grant.
However, how he began his venture into art and literature is a little surprising. The book, which features a collection of depressing images, paired with equally depressing phrases, was initially written to make his friend laugh!
Recently, he revealed the unusual inciting incident for the book, explaining:
"I was in my kitchen hanging out with my friend Janey, and the radio was on — and this station was playing, like, an orgy of depressing, self-pitying, nostalgic music,” he said. “You know, ‘I’m just so lonely and I’ve been left and my heart is broke.’ It was so voluptuously horrible and I just started to write on this piece of paper, because I had this image of, you know, the moment when you take a bath, you light that candle, and you’re really just kind of depressed. And it was making Janey laugh so hard, I just l kept going, piling on the self-pity.”
This Janey character sounds like a really good friend! We love to laugh at our closest friends problems!
We're only kidding and it seems to have helped Keanu create something he was proud enough of to publish, so kudos!
Despite his often gloomy appearance in pictures, which inspired a global Cheer Up Keanu Day, Keanu seems to be doing fine and is getting a kick out of fan's reactions, saying:
"Oh, the internet deal. It was brought to my attention. Yeah, it was funny. But no, the book predates that by a long time. We finished it in August 2009. It is hopefully, in a quiet and enjoyable way, transformative. The kind of thing that takes you from this one place to another — to look at yourself and, y’know, it can always be worse. I hate that sentence: of course it can always be worse!”
If you ever do feel down in the dumps, just remember all the wonderful things you have accomplished in your life, Keanu!

Keanu Reeves has been a stoner, the One, and, most notably (apparently), a quarterback.
In a recent poll, Keanu Reeves came out on top with 28% of the vote for his quarterback role in The Replacements.
Adam Sandler came in second for The Longest Yard and third place went to Kip Pardue who played Sunny in Remember the Titans. Jamie Fox in Any Given Sunday ranked in at fourth.
We think they should do a remake of The Replacements, but combine it with The Matrix. It will be called The Replacematrix and Keanu Reeves will be able to tackle the other players with his mind.
