What goes on in Vegas most certainly will NOT stay in Vegas here!
Watch it go down (below)!!!
Well, that came out of left field!
You might know Josh Herdman as Gregory Goyle from Harry Potter, one of Draco Malfoy's goofy Slytherin sidekicks. But now, he's more than just an English actor… he's a full-fledged fighter!
Over the weekend, the 28-year-old made his amateur MMA debut — yes, that's right. Goyle does mixed martial arts now — and even won his first battle against Janusz Walachowski!
But it turns out his decision to get into cage fighting wasn't an impromptu one!
The proud poppa told The Mirror of his latest endeavor:
"I've been training traditional Japanese jujitsu for nearly five years and hold a shodan black belt."
Damn! Okay, Josh! We see you!
He also explained how he got hooked on the combative sport, saying:
Don't worry, UFC fans — Conor McGregor is still in the game.
Earlier in the week, the 27-year-old fighter confused fans when he posted a cryptic tweet announcing his retirement.
We later found out the tweet was in response to UFC head Dana White's decision to pull McGregor from his upcoming rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 200, because he refused to do a promotional press event in Las Vegas.
The Irish athlete finally spoke out about the drama, and while he's "still ready to go for UFC 200," the featherweight champion is more concerned about training for the actual fight than talking about it!
In a lengthy Facebook post on Thursday, the fighter made it clear he wasn't retired, more so just frustrated. He explained:
But new champ Miesha Tate is apparently trying to get her to sit up and take notice!
The MMA women's bantamweight belt-holder is set to defend her new title against Ronda later this year, and she's getting the trash talking started early!
We're not sure if the plan is to psych out the Furious 7 star or get her too angry to think straight, but her recent comments are DEFINITELY meant to sting!
First on Monday she told TMZ:
Guess Ronda Rousey had better things to do?
The MMA fighter wasn't that interested in watching Holly Holm — the one woman to defeat her — defend the Bantamweight title against Miesha Tate at UFC 196 on Saturday night!
That's because instead of watching the fight, Rousey decided she was going to do something a little more low key… like watch professional wrestling at an American Legion Hall in El Lay!
Rousey was spotted in the crowd in Reseda, California, taking in a night of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's All-Star Weekend 12 — but from what it sounds like, she WAS paying attention to the fight on her phone!
According to reports, right around the time that Tate was choking out Holm in the fifth round for a surprise victory, photos of Rousey checking her phone and smiling surfaced!!!
