It's official!

Nick Lachey = the kiss of death.

The second episode of ABC's reality show High School Musical: Get In The Picture fell 18% in the ratings.

Not to mention that it had shiteous numbers during its premier on Sunday.

The show has now become the lowest-rated Monday night show among the major broadcast networks.

This has resulted in ABC's lowest-rated Monday night in three years.

One insider says, “People always try to sell us reality shows based on football — because nothing scores higher ratings then football. But people watch football because it’s actually football."

The sources adds, "A reality show about football — like a reality show about ‘High School Musical’ — it’s like you’re trying to sell the viewer with something that the show is not. Plus, it’s a kids brand on a network that targets adults 18 to 49. And, in this case, the show’s prize is weak, so the stakes are low.”

That makes sense.

Why would 18 to 49 year olds want to watch a HSM reality show? They should have aired that on the Disney channel or the ABC Family channel.

Poor Nick Lachey. He can't seem to get anything right.!

Failed marriage. Talentless girlfriend. Dead music career.

It seems like Lachey is better suited to join VH1's the Surreal Life instead of hosting his own show.

Looks like Nick Lachey's weekend was just as bad as Jessica Simpson's.

As we previously reported, the serial vacationer, Lachey, was tapped to host the High School Musical reality series Get in the Picture on ABC.

Well, the reality competition premiered Sunday to a shitty tune.

It came in #3 with just 4 million viewers on Sunday night.

CBS' ancient but still chugging along Big Brother nabbed 5.8 million.

A repeat of America's Got Talent on NBC came in second with 5.3 million.

Are people just sick of High School Musical shizz?

If they had a 'better' host would more peeps have tuned in?????

We think it's both!

Former singer Nick Lachey is set to host ABC/Disney's High School Musical: Summer Session.

Summer Session is a talent show based on the hit HSM franchise.

It premieres June 20th.

This is Nick's first 'regular' reality gig since Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica.

For the four of you that still care about these D-listers…..

The National Enquirer is reporting that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are on the verge of breaking up.

Finally!

They've supposedly been in a 'break up-make up' cycle for months. Nick is apparently sick of Minnillo pressuring him to put a ring on her finger and give her babies, among other things.

We think that's what she wanted from the first moment they hooked up!

Nick, didn't you see that, too?

Vanessa's career post-TRL has gone NOWHERE. Girlfriend's become all sorts of desperate!

The Enquirer goes on to report that their issues were "on public display" at the end of last month at LA's popular celeb hangout, Katsuya. According to an eyewitness, they “sat in stone silence for more than 30 minutes after having what appeared to be an argument. As they left that night, Vanessa was in tears sitting next to Nick who was gripping the steering wheel of the car.”

Another source wouldn't be shocked if "Nick is sick of her." At a birthday bash for basketball star Baron Davis, Vanessa “had a good bit to drink, and she turned into a bitchy high school drama queen.” The source goes on to say that 'Nessa was totally rude to some people and then flirted with a bunch of athletes, hung all over other guys, rude to fans who wanted her autograph and spent half the evening sneering at other female guests.

Sounds like someone was trying to get her boyfriend jealous. Grow up!

If the Enquirer is truly on to something, more dramz will be heading our way.

Nick Lachey is taking a break from vacationing!

The former boybander is rejoining the MTV fold. The network just picked up Nick's new 'unscripted' (a.k.a reality) pilot.

Thankfully, though, he won't be in it!

The untitled show will revolve around the students at his alma mater, the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, OH.

The reality show will supposedly 'organically' blend performances by the students into the 'story' the show is telling. For example, it might feature students breaking out into dance in the cafeteria or use a student's practice session on his or her instrument as the soundtrack for a scene.

An unscripted Fame? Good luck trying to capture 'spontaneity' in one take!

Nick is probs thanking God for MTV! It totes brought him true 'fame' via the Newlyweds show! Can MTV deliver again? You know he'll be making surprise visits to the school for some exposure that he's not getting!

We smelled the bullshiz!

Despite a report from Fox news claiming they were getting married this weekend in the Bahamas, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are NOT tying the knot as we speak.

"Not true. Fox made it up," Lachey's rep said on Saturday of the wedding talk.

OK! magazine probably started the rumor to help sell more copies of their current issue, which has Nich & Vanessa on the cover.
