On Wednesday, the town of Monroe, Michigan had a surprise guest host take over their local public access talk show Only in Monroe!
Upcoming Late Show host Stephen Colbert ran the entire 45 minute broadcast of the show, and even interviewed a celebrity guest star Eminem! The late night host asked the Phenomenal rapper if his music was more political or "more booty rhymes?"
Slim Shady looked confused, as it appeared Colbert had no idea who he was. The host even encouraged the Grammy winning artist to think of a fallback career when his "dream dies." Ha!
Eminem kept a straight face throughout the entire bit, even while assuring that he never cursed in his songs before and told other rappers "watch your f**king mouths."
Check out the hilarious broadcast (below) and look out for Eminem's interview around the 22-minute mark!
Stephen Colbert is SO happy the U.S. Supreme Court finally legalized
rainbows same sex marriage!
The upcoming Late Show host posted a video on the show's YouTube channel to comment on the historic news!
But the clip wasn't all celebration, as the 51-year-old called out the Supreme Court justices who voted against marriage equality in Friday's 5-4 ruling!
In typical late night talk show fashion, the comedian ragged on Justice Antonin Scalia, who wrote in his dissent that he "would hide [his] head in a bag" if he ever joined an opinion that began the way Justice Anthony Kennedy's majority decision did.
Colbert then jested:
He's always had a good heart!
But regardless of if he was working, Colbert would probably have still found time to join the 10,000-15,000 people walking across the Arthur Ravenel Bridge in South Carolina on Sunday night.
Colbert grew up in Charleston, and knowing how charitable he is, it comes as no surprise that he joined the "unity chain" that stretched from Mount Pleasant to Charleston.
Stephen Colbert's version of The Late Show hasn't even aired its first episode, and already he's making hilarious new videos!
This time the former Colbert Report host is making one of the most important decisions a TV show can — what his theme song will be.
Find out as he simultaneously writes AND unveils his new theme song (below)!
Stephen Colbert has pretty much been off the grid since the Colbert Report's final episode back in December!
But he's kept super busy during his time off — busy growing his infamous "Colbeard!"
Though the comedian doesn't make his debut as The Late Show host until the fall, he decides that it's time to bid farewell to his silver-foxy beard.
Of course, just shaving it off all at once would be too mundane. So, the 51-year-old decided to have some fun in this step by step beard removal.
Check out the video (below) to see Colbert's shaving stages — including the "un-Hitler," the "Amish," and the "Half Wolverine!"
