Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have just announced that their wedding will air on TLC in a special tentatively being called Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding. The special will not only follow the couple on their big day, but also show viewers their joint bridal shower and Vanessa's search for the perfect wedding dress. The couple released a joint statement about their televised nuptials, saying:

Over the weekend, Vanessa Minnillo took over Las Vegas for an epic bachelorette weekend. The fun started on Friday as she and her girlies hit up LAVO for dinner and dancing at a private booth. It didn't take long for things to get wild as Vanessa jumped into the DJ booth, taking the mic and telling the crowd, "I'm about to get married. I'm about to get a ball and chain, but not yet and tonight's my bachelorette party!" Bet the club loved that! The future Mrs. Lachey then had a laugh at her hubby's expense as a midget impersonating her fiancé Nick Lachey showed up to serenade her with a 98 Degrees jam! HA!

The party continued on Saturday as the bride-to-be took her friends to the Marquee Dayclub for a roof deck pool party. We hear she decided to share the wealth of her weekend with a bachelor celebrating his own upcoming wedding. She invited the groom and his friends to her private cabana where they swan in the infinity Jacuzzi and dined on a special cake designed especially for Vanessa by Gimme Some Sugar. Yum!

Sounds like a dream weekend, ladies! We're jealous we couldn't have tagged along! Boo!

Vanessa Minnillo has been flexing her acting muscles lately with guest spots on 30 Rock and Hawaii Five-0, but is getting back to her TRL roots this winter when she takes another hosting gig at ABC.

The actress and television personality has just signed on to co-host ABC's Wipeout, which pits 24 contestants against the world's largest extreme obstacle course.

She will be replacing Jill Wagner as the on-location co-host who interviews the contestants before and after they make themselves look like idiots on national television.

Executive producer of the hit reality game show, Matt Kunitz, is thrilled to have Vanessa, saying:

"We will miss Jill, but are thrilled to welcome Vanessa to the team and excited to bring her enthusiasm to the show. She is a great host with a fun and natural energy that our viewers will love."

We think she'll do great and are jealous a little jealous she gets to watch people get into HIGHlarious accidents for a living.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo hosted a wedding shower for their friends at the London Hotel rooftop in West Hollywood.

It sounded like a lovely event, and now we've got a bunch of deets about Vanessa's bridal shower, which took place at her best friend's home in Beverly Hills over the weekend.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were not only celebrating the long Memorial Day weekend, but also their upcoming nuptials this past Sunday by hosting a wedding shower for their friends at the London Hotel rooftop in West Hollywood!

One partygoer reveals:

"Nick and Vanessa greeted guests hand-in-hand. Vanessa looked gorgeous in a white dress with a black sash. She and Nick both seemed very excited to celebrate with their families and friends. Everyone seemed to have a great time. It was a laidback, yet sophisticated atmosphere. Guests danced until the late hours."

Sounds like such a nice time!

And we love that they chose to keep it intimate enough where they could greet everyone personally!

They must be getting so excited for the big day! It's certainly been a long time coming!

Move over, Royal Wedding, because there Nick Lachey has just hinted that "the countdown's begun," for his own wedding.

It has been shrouded in secrecy, from time and place, and the singer/host has hinted at it many times:

"You know, the clock is ticking, so we're getting dangerously close. That's all I can say."

So is he close enough to the date to start buffing up for it??

"I'm just gonna let myself go. She loves me for who I am, skinny or fat. No. Of course. Everyone likes to get in shape and try to look good on [his] wedding day, at least. So, I'll have to start hitting the treadmill regiment to get ready for it. "

Hmmm! Super inneresting! Especially because Vanessa has said that she likes the idea of a winter-themed wedding!

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have been cast to guest star on the CBS drama Hawaii Five-0.

The episode, which airs in February, will feature Vanessa as a woman named Susan married to Nick's character, named Tyler.

Exciting.

In the episode, Vanessa's character works as a deckhand on a cruise boat that's taken hostage by pirates.

We guess its for the best - more time to plan the perfect wedding.

Though Nick Lachey had told Rachael Ray that he had plans to marry his longtime GF Vanessa Minnillo in Italy over the holiday, Vanessa confirmed to another source that her fiancee was kidding. She insists that the New Year won't be spent in Italy or joining in holy matrimony. She explained:

"I think that's the game of telephone. He said it sarcastically and it was misconstrued in print. We're not [getting married in Italy], but that would be a great idea."

Sure would! Little more privacy, lovely countryside to gaze at. Who could ask for anything more?
