Two days after bombs exploded near the Boston Marathon finishing line — killing 3 and reportedly injuring nearly 200 — Michelle Obama took some time out of her visit to a U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD to address the horrific incident.

Not only does Michelle send her condolences to all those hurt — physically and emotionally — by the explosions, she also emphasizes the fact that when abhorrent things like this happen in America, we are reminded of our nation's bravery and selflessness.

If you're thinking to yourself that, wow, if a 15 year old girl can be against a weapon's ban, well then maybe the weapons ban is a bad thing — we'd like to tell you to hold off for a minute!

We ARE very proud of this young girl for having the guts to stand in front of state legislators and speak, but we can't help but think that any 15 year old is highly impressionable and probably has a lot of mouths trying to sway them behind the scenes. Something like this is absolutely poised to go viral!

Her video (above) has been viewed more than 2.5 million times, as she talks about shooting since she was 7 years old and how she's part of the Maryland Rifle Club and Maryland State Rifle and Pistol Association team.

All around awesome human being Angelina Jolie added another notch to her humanitarian belt Thursday while at the Women in the World gala in NYC (above)!

Brad Pitt's future (current?!) wife delivered an inspiring, yet heartbreaking speech honoring Malala Yousafzai, a young Pakistani activist who was shot in the head by the Taliban simply because she wanted equal opportunity education for girls.

Angie has also donated $200,000 to an educational fund set up in Malala's name that will go towards funding various educational projects specifically for females.

It's a sad fact of the world that human beings are still oppressed because of various religious or cultural beliefs. We only hope that these blatant violations of human rights will be addressed and eradicated (somewhat, at least) in our lifetime!

This was EVERYTHING we could have wanted her to say at such an important event - and so much more!

At last night's 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, held in New York, Anderson Cooper was the recipient of the "Vito Russo Award," which is given to an "openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality!"

While that itself is incredible and exciting news, Madonna was on hand to present her longtime friend with his honor, and donned a complete Cub Scout uniform for the occasion!

Ch-ch-check out her rousing, articulate and thoughtful speech, during which she called on the Boy Scouts of America to end its ban on gay scouts and scout leaders, criticized the Russian government for its imprisonment of Pussy Riot, and called for a much-needed social revolution here in the US of A (above)!

INCREDIBLE!

All we have to say is that Anderson is one lucky silver fox!

Her words have so much fire, passion, and most important of all, TRUTH, behind them, and we couldn't be more proud to have such a powerful ally in the fight for equal rights and a better tomorrow!
