It's been a great couple of days for the LGBT community in sports. First, we hear that the NHL has joined an anti-homophobia movement — which makes it the first major league to ever do so!
Now, we're hearing the badass NFL wide receiver Donté Stallworth is taking a stand against homophobia too!! He joined Athlete Ally, a group dedicated to fighting homophobia in sports.
He's always been for gay rights, but it took a near-death experience (hot air balloon crash, not joking!) for him to want to go out of his way to support and make a change for the LGBT community! Here's what he said:

After the NHL's awful lockout, we're glad to see that they're focusing on something within the sport that actually matters other than greed: they're joining the You Can Play Project, which mission is the end of homophobia in sports!
Patrick Burke, the son of the former Maple Leafs GM, heads up the project as his brother Brenden Burke was part of the Miami University hockey team when he revealed he was gay. He started the project in Brenden's honor, as he tragically passed away in a car accident shortly after his announcement.
You might remember the original launch of the group, and its mantra (above): if you can play, you can play. Talent should be the only thing that matters!
Here's what Patrick said about the official partnership with the NHL:

If only Liza Minnelli HAD intervened…
Lindsay Lohan might have actually listened and saved herself a sh*tload of trouble!
The incomparable Mz. Minnelli was apparently asked by supposed close friend of Lindsay's, celeb promoter Claus Hjelmbak, to take part in an intervention for the troubled starlet last December, but Liza could not attend because she was out of the country.
A source explains:

Of course the Kardashian trio are pissed… WE are STILL cringing and it's been days since we listened to the track!
Kim Kardashian's sex tape costar Ray J recently released a truly nasty (in every sense of the word) single called I Hit It First that is SO obviously about his ex-lover…
And unsuprisingly, Kimmy's sisters are NOT impressed.
One alleged insider reveals:

If one of your son's best friends was getting some heat, wouldn't you want to defend them??
Maybe! If you're Will Smith, and your son Jaden is super BFFs with Justin Bieber, you bet your ass he's going to defend the Biebs!!
More specifically, Will think there's a war against young artists right now. Here's what he said:

When EJ publicly came out as gay (adorably holding his boyfriend's hand while walking down the street), a lot of people wondered how Magic Johnson would react — and he reacted flawlessly!
If you think about it though, you begin to realize that this isn't just about EJ coming out (though that's the majority of it, and nobody can take that from him!), but also what it does for the black community AND the sports community tied up in their high-profile lives! And guess what? For Magic, it should all be positive regardless if there are a few nay-sayers! He then opened up about how he's supportive of it all!
It all started when EJ was 13.

One more reason to love Josh Hutcherson!
The Hunger Games actor posed for the NoH8 campaign lookin’ his usual seksi self. Always the supporter of same sex marriage, Josh co-founded the Straight But Not Narrow campaign devoted to “working to build a team of straight allies for the LGBTQ community, and strengthen those allies who already exist.”
If you look at the picture closely, you’ll see he’s even sporting his campaign’s wristband!
Way to go, Josh! Making all of us proud!
