When people tune in for American Idol, most concern themselves with the wannabe stars butchering Journey or Mariah Carey for your votes. A lot of people forget about the dozen or so musicians behind the contestants, who play their hearts out every week, for every performer…including the show’s execs!
The Idol band is suing the show for selling downloads and ringtones of songs from the show since Season 4 without paying them their dues. The group filed a lawsuit late on Friday seeking $500,000 in damages from the show’s producers.
Yikes!
That’s a lot of $$$, but we’re behind them on this one! That’s not cool!
