Scotty McCreery To Debut At Number One!

Oh that American Idol magic!
Scotty McCreery, the winner of last season’s American Idol, is expected to debut his album at number one!
But, even though it might seem like that American Idol magic would work for all winners — that just isn’t the case. In fact, only a few have done it:

Clear as Day, will debut at #1 on next week’s HITS Album sales chart with between 150-175k.
The only previous Idol winners who can make that claim are first-season champ Kelly Clarkson, whose RCA debut Thankful, went straight to #1 in 2003, and second season winner Ruben Studdard’s album Soulful, later that same year. Carrie Underwood didn├óΓé¼Γäót debut at #1 until her second album, Carnival Ride, entered at the top spot in 2007. Daughtry was an Idol runner-up whose second album, 2009├óΓé¼Γäós Leave This Town, debuted at #1.

We still can’t believe the sound of Scotty’s voice coming out of that singer! It’s mind-boggling!
And let us be the first to say — the kid deserves number one and we can’t wait to hear the debut!
Congrats, Scotty! Let’s hope for a long career!
