From one Idol winner to another!
American Idol may be gearing up for its twelfth season, but that doesn├óΓé¼Γäót mean the show├óΓé¼Γäós very FIRST winner doesn├óΓé¼Γäót have some input to give on the show’s judging panel fiasco!
Kelly Clarkson just wrapped up her first season as a mentor on ABC’s Duets and has since expressed NO interest in filling the seats Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler left behind!
Kelly recently confessed:
“I don’t want to be a judge. Mentor is more my style. And not just mentoring, getting to be a part of the song with them, getting them amped up — from our rehearsals to stage, it’s so exciting being onstage. It’s fun!”
We definitely agree…and Kelly makes SUCH a great mentor!
So just who WOULD she want to see as an Idol judge?? None other than season four winner, Carrie Underwood, of course!
When Carrie was suggested, Clarkson responded:
“Didn’t she major in journalism or something? And she can have that face . . . that bluff face! She can put that on! She would be good.”
Underwood graduated from Northeastern State University in her homestate of Oklahoma back in 2006, with a degree in mass communications, with a journalism emphasis!
Although the two may be battling it out for the Idol singer with the best-selling single, it’s nice to know that they still remain supportive of their Idol fam!
We think Carrie would be a pretty good pick for the show!
