Sounds like Idol isn’t the only thing keeping Mariah Carey busy these days!
Gurl is still up in the studio, working on her 14th studio album, of course!
While we previously heard Triumphant, it looks like MC is working on another new song, with none other than R. Kelly!
The two recently teamed up in Kelly’s hometown of Chicago, while Mz. Carey was in town for Idol auditions, to lay down their vocals on Thursday!
Check out the pic Mimi tweeted of the two in action (above)!!
Two vocal legends, that’s for sure!
As for what we can expect from Mariah’s upcoming album?
Mariah revealed:
“The main thing is [that] I’m not trying to follow any particular trend. I want it to be well received. I want to stay true to myself and the music that I love and make the fans happy.”
We DO miss some old Mariah throwback jams!
The album is set to be released in early 2013, most likely around January, when Idol premieres its twelfth season!
