Fashion Houses Want Students To Pay For Unpaid Internships

WTF?!?
Valentino, Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta and M Missoni are giving college students the opportunity to intern for them — for a price.
The fashion houses teamed up with charitybuzz.com to auction off month-long unpaid internships and the bidding starts at $750.
That’s really a steal considering the prizes are worth an estimated $10,000.
As ridiculous as this may sound, it’s for a good cause. All proceeds will benefit Rosie O’Donnell‘s charity, Rosie’s Theatre Kids.
The auctions end on October 30th and the bids are surprisingly low. Balenciaga’s leading the pack with $2350 followed by a $1000 bid for Oscar de la Renta. Valentino and M Missoni have yet to receive any bids.
Ouch.
Guess these aren’t as exciting as an internship at Vogue, which sold for $42,500 in 2010.
How much would U pay to intern for free?!?
