More Reasons Why You Should Stay Away From Too Much Red Meat

Red meat has always been something to watch out for, especially for those people with heart disease and high cholesterol.
A new study done, shows that we should be wary of red meat, however it does not need to be entirely cut out of our diet.
It turns out that women who eat 2 servings of red meat a day have a 30% increased risk of developing heart disease than those who only have 3-4 servings a week.
The fat in red meat is only part of what is bad for you, surprisingly iron and other minerals that are found in red meat may contribute to heart risks as well.
Researchers have said that swapping one serving of red meat per day for one serving of something else such as beans will lower a woman’s long-term heart-disease risk by about one-third. It seems that this would be the same case for men as well.
All in all red meat is not a horrible thing, but if you do tend to eat a lot of it, cutting back wouldn’t be a horrible idea!!
