Americans Still Eating Too Much Salt!

A new study just found that even though there’s decades of research, Americans are still eating waaaay too much salt!
Even when people try and stick to their recommended daily sodium intake and even stop adding salt to all their favorite foods, they still keep coming in over the limit.
The problem is that processed foods and restaurant food have so much sodium in them that if you eat out, you can easily get a large chunk of your daily limit in just one meal.
Healthy people eat only about 2300 milligrams of sodium a day, but the average American eats about 3371mgs a day!
The researchers found that it’s a great equalizer because it didn’t matter the demographic ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ age, race, gender, other factors ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ it didn’t matter, people were still eating too much sodium.
A doctor at the CDC said:

“Even small decreases in the amount of sodium we consume each day [400 milligrams on average] could potentially reduce our risk of [high blood pressure] and the amount we spend on health care.”

People were also found to not be eating enough potassium. We should be getting about 4700mgs a day while most people only get about 2600mgs.
How can we fix this?
Eat your veggies!
Fruits and vegetables are high in potassium and low in salt!
Do it for your health! Hold the salt please!
