Seems like the rumors might actually be correct!
American Horror Story writer Douglas Petrie might’ve spilled the beans back in February about the setting for the show’s fourth installment, which is great and all…
But we’re totally buggin’ that NO ONE found this interview until now!
Fans created posters and GIFs (like the one above) of creepy carnival and circus art towards the end of the Coven season— so it’s really AH-Mazing that the diehard AHS peeps might’ve been spot on this entire time!
In a Nerdist News podcast that was said to be recorded on February 16, Douglas revealed that a carnival/circus setting is totally the idea they’re running with:
“Yes, it does not have a title├óΓé¼┬ª but that is the idea. That├óΓé¼Γäós very roughly the idea.├óΓé¼┬¥
Now that the setting is sort of behind us—how will this theme tie into the clues that were dropped in season 3?!
We know the show will be taking place in the 1950s, communists were mentioned, and Jessica Lange is working on her German accent…
So will she be a secret spy ring leader of sorts??
We can’t get too excited though, because the show’s creator Ryan Murphy hasn’t tweeted or confessed to anything about season 4 just yet!
Hopefully we’ll get the announcement we’ve all been craving when the entire cast reunites for their PaleyFest panel later this week!
C’mon Ryan!
