BOO! Jelly Belly Chairman Supports Petition Against Trans Students Rights!

He ain’t down! And we’re SO disappointed in him!
Jelly Belly Chairman Herman Rowland Sr. wants to put a stop to the School Success and Opportunity Act which was a landmark California bill that gave transgender students from grades K-12 the right to choose programs and bathroom facilities based on their gender identity.
However this yellow belly Jelly Belly chairman donated a whopping $5,000 to the Privacy Of All Students campaign which wants to gather enough signatures to shoot that passed bill down!
One of the worst parts of this campaign is that it’s run by the man behind the Prop 8 curtain — Frank Schubert. Frank Schubert is also the political director for the National Organization for Marriage which fights against the legalization of same-sex marriage.
Thankfully the National Center For Lesbian Rights is on the case! They’ve started their own petition to get the word out on where your jelly belly money is really going.
And as long as the Privacy Of All Students campaign doesn’t get 505,000 signatures by Wednesday, November 6 – transgender students in California will keep their much deserved rights!
