Makes us think that Katy Perry won’t be throwing Diplo‘s mom a Birthday party anytime soon!
Barbara Pentz, aka Diplo’s mommabear, gave a pretty telling interview about her son’s relationship with the pop princess!
In it, she actually accused them of dating one another for publicity!
What the WHAT?!?!
She dished:
├óΓé¼┼ôI don├óΓé¼Γäót think it├óΓé¼Γäós a big deal right now. I don├óΓé¼Γäót think they├óΓé¼Γäóll be wedding bells yet. They├óΓé¼Γäóre both doing their own things right now and on opposite coasts. He hasn├óΓé¼Γäót discussed it with me, but he did with his dad. He said ├óΓé¼╦£we├óΓé¼Γäóre just hanging out. We├óΓé¼Γäóre just friends right now.├óΓé¼Γäó He doesn├óΓé¼Γäót seem to be making a big deal about it. I wondered if it was a publicity stunt. It did occur to me. They both do like the cameras.”
But… if she’s never met KP, then how would Barbara know if she “likes the cameras?”
Kind of a contradiction, no?
Anyway, Barbara went on to gush about her son’s blossoming relationship.
She said:
├óΓé¼┼ôShe seems like a lovely girl. He hasn├óΓé¼Γäót mentioned bringing her home to mama just yet. But I think he would before it gets serious. Of course, she├óΓé¼Γäós got to be grilled by the mom! [But] he├óΓé¼Γäós a 30-something-year-old man. He wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót listen to me anyway if I told him what to do! He├óΓé¼Γäós always been a strong-willed young man ever since he was little. She├óΓé¼Γäós rebelling from her parents a little too, so I read.”
Innnnneresting! We wonder if these two will reach the “meet the parents” stage
Katy DID just reveal that she’s “deep into Tindr” these days, so that can’t be a good sign!
We’ll just have to wait to see if their fling will stand the test of time!
