Can you believe Kelly Clarkson has NEVER voted for an American Idol contestant before — not even herself?!
The hit singing competition show is about to come to an end Thursday night after 15 seasons. Following last night’s penultimate episode that announced Dalton Rapattoni was being cut, the winner will either be Trent Harmon or La’Porsha Renae.

While we love both Trent and La’Porsha, Kelly — the original Idol winner — has taken to Twitter to publicly pick sides and give some support to her favorite contestant.
The Since U Been Gone singer tweeted:
Yes ma’am @laporsharenae you are right! A woman started it and a woman’s gonna finish it!! Can’t wait to watch you win!! #youareblessed

The expecting mother went on to say:
I have never voted for anyone on @AmericanIdol not even 4 myself BUT I will be voting for @laporsharenae tonight. I need her future record!

Aside Idol crowning a winner tonight, you can also see Clarkson as she’ll be featured along with the rest of the ORIGINAL cast during the finale.
