UPDATE 9:17 P.M. EST: Haley’s attorney Dina LaPolt tells PerezHilton.com:
“Without provocation, Haley Reinhart was assaulted by bouncers at the Lamplighter Inn. After forcefully removing Ms. Reinhart, they violently beat her friend, who sustained multiple injuries. We believe that she will be exonerated of all charges once the investigation is completed. We plan on taking legal action against all those who were involved in this unfortunate incident.”
Well, this is unfortunate.
Haley Reinhart, who you mostly likely know from her American Idol days, was arrested Saturday morning.

According to the police report, she and her friends were kicked out of a Chicago bar after they knocked over a table. It was then that the 26-year-old performer allegedly punched a bouncer — in the face!
Cops arrived around 2 a.m. and booked her on battery. Her next court date is scheduled for August 2.
Hopefully she uses this as a learning experience!
