After a long Twitter hiatus, Ryan Murphy finally revealed that season 4 of American Horror Story is…
FREAK SHOW!
We knew it was going to be circusy because of writer Douglas Petrie‘s epic podcast slip up, but hearing sweet tweet confirmation from Ry has us all breathing an added sigh of scary relief!
The co-creator of the FX original series simply shared the following photo and blurb on the social media site Monday:

Here’s what we know so far:
The setting is Jupiter, Florida in 1950. Jessica Lange will be an playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S.!
Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, and Frances Conroy are all set to return as performers that Jessica’s character has rescued.
Since mum’s the spooky word on everything else, we’ve decide to start a campaign for certain actors to return to the series!
We sincerely missed Zachary Quinto ‘s murderous ways in Coven.
And Connie Britton‘s radiant beauty everyday!
We need some more fiery Alexandra Breckenridge in our televised lives STAT.
And Chloe Sevigny proved she could already play mutilated and transformed in season 2—so a freak show would be perfect!!
Lily Rabe has made her presence known on all seasons of AHS thus far, so it would destroy us if she didn’t return.
And we’d love to see Emma Roberts as a circus b*tch—because Madison Montgomery was way too perfect!
