As we previously reported, Mr. Murphy decided to keep viewers in the dark over the plot of AHS: Roanoke until its September 2016 premiere. According to John, this is a “marketing hook” the writer intends to replicate.
The FX mogul explained:

“It actually will be shrouded in super secrecy. Ryan [Murphy] has yet another really innovative idea for how to do something fresh and different with the franchise that audiences haven’t seen before, there’s a marketing hook around that. We know explicitly what the next season is about.”

Ugh, we’re so desperate to know more! What exactly is this “innovative idea” Landgraf is teasing us about?!
The only detail we can confirm is that the story will take place in modern-day.
As for the casting side of things, Ryan was more generous with his information.
Per the show runner, AHS vets Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters WILL be back for season seven. Rejoice, fans!!

Elaborating on the “secrecy” of the project and how he plans to introduce the concept, Murphy added:

“… There’s only three people in the world who know what it is, which is John Landgraf, Dana Walden, and Sarah Paulson, so I don’t know. I mean last year was successful. I don’t know that we’d do it again. I think maybe we’d release some of it earlier than we did. We just started writing it and we haven’t even cast it yet, except for Sarah and Evan. I don’t know. I haven’t decided how to do it yet.”

Interesting! We guess we’ll have to wait and see how this plays out.
So, which stars do YOU want to see on season 7?
