Ryan Murphy and Co. are quick on debunking those American Horror Story rumors!
Earlier today, it was reported that the sixth season of FX‘s horror anthology series could be tackling Slender Man — the internet meme turned urban legend about a creature who stalks children!
But just like the myth itself, these rumors ended up being a hoax!
According to E! News, the new season will NOT be about that frighteningly tall suit!

A source said the story for season six will be announced sometime in March — and the idea has been hinted about in past seasons!
In fact, Murphy himself said the same thing in an interview last October, specifically detailing that season one had a “clue” for what’s to come in season six!
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the co-creator said:

“This year, with season six, it’s weird because one idea that I think we’re going to do is an idea that we started talking about in season one. So, the clue for season six is not just in the material we’re doing now; it’s from way back in season one. We talked a lot about it. There is a clue in there.”

The 50-year-old also teased the idea of the “Anti-Christ baby” from Murder House could make a cameo!
