1 + 3 does not = 8. Unless you’re Ryan Murphy!
Let’s be honest. The last two seasons of American Horror Story, Roanoke and Cult, weren’t… the best.
So what’s a TV giant to do? Follow through on a tease he made in 2016 and fuse two successful seasons together for a crossover reboot, duh!

Yes, he’s finally making good (or evil?) on pairing Murder House with Coven — and for a season earlier than expected! The first and third installment of Murphy’s horror anthology are fan favorites, so what’s there to lose?
Well, maybe a plot line here and there, but hey! Confusion is scary!
Murphy himself announced the news Thursday afternoon via Twitter, writing:
The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year…because it’s happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER

This of course resulted in an immediate choir of YASSSSSSSSSS from fans:

We’ve certainly had our doubts when it comes to crossovers, but this piece of news might as well be Halloween candy to the series’ most diehard of fans.
