American Idol Wins Wednesday Night Ratings As Other Networks Air Repeats

If only every night was this easy!
American Idol ratings finally went up as ABC and CBS aired mostly repeats. The two hour special snagged 18.5 million viewers and a 5.6 rating on Wednesday night.
Idol benefited with a 12 percent bump from last week and it should thank its competitors for the help!
CBS came in second, averaging 8.7 million viewers with CSI and Criminal Minds repeats after an original Survivor.
ABC’s only original, Happy Endings, suffered without a Modern Family original, but it was still the highest rated scripted show on the networks.
We’ll see if Idol can hold on to this success tonight!
