What did Armie Hammer get from his momma when he turned 38 in August? A grill? A car? Nope. A vasectomy! Yes, really!
The Call Me By Your Name actor had his mom, Dru Hammer, as the guest on his new The Armie HammerTime Podcast on Monday. Is it sweeps week already? Turns out they had some wild stuff to talk about — like the unusual birthday present she gave him after those rape accusations and cannibalism claims. She explained:
“I call Armie, and I go, ‘Armie, what would you like for your birthday this year?’ And he goes, ‘I don’t know, maybe money. Whatever.’ And I was like, ‘I believe I’m going to give you a vasectomy.’”
WHAT?! OK, it’s even wilder that it was her idea. What, did she decide this man shouldn’t be reproducing anymore? Did she think it was just safer now that he’s out in these streets unattached?? We can’t say we blame her. The stories going around about him are pretty crazy — and he doesn’t sound like he’s the type to be safe.

We guess he agreed? Armie — who shares daughter Harper and son Ford with ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers — accepted! Describing the initial consultation, he recalled:
“I go to a doctor’s office and I go, ‘I’m here to schedule a vasectomy.’ He was like, ‘Are you sure you wanna do this?’ I’m like, ‘I have two beautiful kids. I don’t want any more kids. I’m good to go.’ They try to talk you out of it. I’m like, ‘You’re not going to talk me out of it. I’m done. I’m good.’”
When Armie went to pay for the surgery with the receptionist, what happened next was one of the most awkward interactions! He had to tell them:
“’My mother’s going to be calling you and she’s going to be paying for it.’ She was looking down and she [looked up] and goes, ‘What?’ And I go, ‘Yes, my mother gave me this as a birthday present.’ It just was one of those things like you could tell she was hearing something and like, ‘I’ve never heard — what are you talking about?’ So yeah, my mom got me a vasectomy for my birthday.”
