Armie Hammer Claims He ‘Wanted To Get Caught’ Amid Cannibalism Scandal

[Warning: Potentially Triggering Content]

Armie Hammer always secretly wanted to get caught.

Years after the Call Me By Your Name actor was accused of cannibalism and rape by multiple women, Armie has revealed he subconsciously “wanted to get caught” all along. While appearing on Wednesday’s episode of the Your Mom’s House podcast, the 38-year-old reflected on the media storm that surrounded the accusations against him and how he initially went into “full panic mode” at the thought of his true self being revealed to the public:

“There was the mask that I didn’t really identify with but everyone thought was me that became sort of like my safety net and identity. And then when that gets shattered and everyone goes, ‘We no longer like this guy, we f**king hate him,’ which is rough. There would be articles … about how I was a rapist cannibal and all that stuff. I think in March of 2021 I was like the fifth most searched person on Google in the world and all of it was negative.”

He added:

“Before that I had used any of that public attention as a sort of sense of validation for myself … I was feeding off of that like a f**king psychic vampire, and then all that goes away and all of the sudden you’re just left standing there naked in front of the world with all of your proclivities or kinks being judged by the world.”

Well, we mean, some of his “proclivities” were terrifying… And the thing is, he doesn’t even really sound remorseful. He already admitted on his own podcast back in October that he “kind of” likes the allegations that killed his career, and elsewhere in his YMH interview, he openly detailed his desire for power and control over his sexual partners:

“I like the idea that you are so completely mine. I can do whatever I want and you love it because you know you’re mine. And this possession kind of thing that’s just fun to talk about especially if you’re drunk or stoned or high at night and you’re texting and while you’re saying it you’re chuckling to yourself like, ‘I’m going to f**king cut your toe off and keep it in my pocket so I got a piece of you everywhere I go.’”

Uhhh, WTF?? He continued:

“And then it gets read in the court of public opinion and everyone goes, ‘You’re insane.’”

Does he think that sounds sane with HIM saying it rather than it being read off a court doc??

He later claimed a lot of his fantasies had to do with “role play,” and admitted that deep down he WANTED to be caught:

“I think somewhere deep down subconsciously I wanted to get caught. I think that I so did not relate to the image of me that was out there in the public of sort of like, ‘Look at them, they’re like the Ralph Lauren family, they’ve got the perfect life, and the perfect house, and the perfect kids.’ I was like I feel like like a f**king alien walking around most of the time. Like, I don’t feel like a human, I feel like a creature.”

As we know, Armie settled his divorce from ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers in 2023. The Social Network star continued:

“I would ‘like’ things on my Twitter — I would ‘like’ rope bondage pictures and s**t like that. It was like I was dog whistling, if you will, and wanting, I think, to get caught. And people would be like, ‘I don’t think he knows his Twitter likes are public.’ And I’d see that and I’d be like, ‘Oh, yeah I know.’”
