Aubrey O’Day has just revealed something really shocking — she’s been celibate for years! And that’s not all — she’s also drawing a direct line between her intimacy issues and the ongoing Diddy saga following the recent and shocking end of his trial.
We’ve of course been following the rap mogul’s mega-trial that just wrapped in New York City. But we aren’t the only ones. The 41-year-old O’Day has been watching very closely both during the trial itself and now in the aftermath of Diddy’s dramatic courtroom conclusion. But according to a new interview published with the Danity Kane singer in Us Weekly, Diddy’s past behaviors and alleged actions have long been affecting her in all areas of her life — including sexually.

The mag spoke to Aubrey ahead of the Diddy verdict in light of the fact that she has so much experience being around Diddy as part of her stint on Making The Band way back in the day. And to hear her tell it, the recent scandal has brought up memories from her time spent around the rap mogul. And it’s left her not wanting to have sex… at all. Like, for YEARS now.
She candidly explained how speaking to the Department of Homeland Security about Diddy last year really crystallized her push for celibacy:
“You know, there’s nothing that can really murder your sex life that’s bigger than the Diddy trial. And I talked to Homeland Security over a year and something ago. I haven’t been interested [in dating] since. I haven’t had sex in years.”
Whoa!
Specifically, she told the outlet that Pras from the hip-hop group Fugees was the last person she’s been romantically involved with — and that was well more than a year ago, before she spoke to DHS! She said:
“I just haven’t had sex in a while. I’m not really interested.”
Ugh.
She’s definitely been tracking things closely in NYC, though. Speaking to the outlet before the surprising mixed verdict was handed down to wrap up Diddy’s day(s) in court, the singer said she’s been trying to ready herself for whatever may happen:
“Have I accepted all possibilities? No, no, I can’t. I can’t and I won’t, and I felt that way when I was younger, and now we’re here. Maybe I’ll have to feel that way till I die, or maybe I can get a tiny bit of a release, but you don’t let up and give up ever, or the system doesn’t change.”
Oof. That days-old quote is even more prescient here in the hours after the verdict was reached considering we now know exactly how Aubrey reacted to it in real time.
At this point, all we can do is send love and light to O’Day and the rest of the people impacted by today’s verdict and the fallout that’ll inevitably be felt for years…
