Remember that horrid statue of the gorgeous Cristiano Ronaldo?
Well, another soccer player was the victim of bad likeness on Monday when Team U.S.A. star Brandi Chastain was inducted into the Bay Area Sports Hall Of Fame in San Francisco.
Unfortunately, her ceremony was marred by her plaque, which, well — look at the damn thing (above)!

Even the honoree herself had to comment during the reception, saying:
“It’s not the most flattering. But it’s nice.”
But San Francisco Chronicle columnist Ann Killion wasn’t as civil about it; after covering the event she tweeted out a pic of the twice-baked-James-Cagney face and was joined by the rest of Twitter in mocking it.
See some of the strongest (and funniest) takes (below):
Brandi Chastain is one of the most beautiful athletes I’ve ever covered. How this became her plaque is a freaking embarrassment for BASHOF. Makes Cristiano’s look perfect. pic.twitter.com/hta6c0cmSo

Brandi Chastain’s plaque looks like someone tried to imagine Babe Ruth doing the @chrissyteigen face. pic.twitter.com/KujRc44KQH

“Who do you see in the Brandi Chastain plaque?” is wayyy more entertaining than Yanny/Laurel

Brandi Chastain has won a World Cup and gold medals but her greatest achievement is smiling graciously next to this whackass plaque pic.twitter.com/YzGda3g4vF
