All mad bad here!
Cameron Diaz is rumored to return for the sequel to Bad Teacher, which means that soon we’ll have two Bad Teacher movies AND a Bad Teacher sitcom!
What’s next? A 3-act Bad Teacher opera? Because we’d love to see Cameron do a 12-minute aria about sleeping with a State Professor in order to steal exams for her students.
Apparently, people love watching teachers who drink, smoke, and curse at their students — you know, typical requirements to get tenure a sequel. The first flick made over 200 million dollars worldwide for Columbia Pictures (owned by Sony Pictures), which was a nice little surprise for Cameron.
Although she hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s hard to imagine anyone else playing the ne’er-do-well instructor. Already on board are Jake Kasdan, who is slated to direct, and Justin Malen, who will pen the sequel.
Looks like we’ll have to wait a couple of weeks before they decide to make a Broadway musical based on this growing film and TV franchise.
