First, ch-ch-check out her cover look (below):

On Dating Ashley

Cara and Ash FINALLY put the rumor mill to rest in July when they confirmed their relationship, though from what Delevingne has to say about trust, it’s understandable why she would hold back from sharing her love with the world:

“I’d never truly let anyone in before, for fear of them leaving. I never really trusted people, or felt worthy of it, and I always pushed them away. She’s the first person that has said: ‘You can’t push me away. I’m going to be nice to you, I love you.’ I’m just like, wait, so all I have to do is just let you be nice to me? Why have I never done that before? OK.”

Long Distance Love

However, things haven’t always been easy! While filming Carnival Row in Prague for seven-months, she and her El Lay lady were long distance:

“Long-distance relationships are always tough. We make it work, though. We have to. And it definitely makes me a better, happier person.”

No Labels Needed

Though she has now confirmed her relationship with the Pretty Little Liars alum, the model previously struggled with labeling herself:

“The labels for everything bum me out. I hate to label myself. I’ve been to so many dinners where people are like, ‘So, what are you? L, G, B, T, Q?’ I’m like, ‘Guys, really? This is what we’re talking about?’ I change every day.”

She continues, explaining her past relationships with men:

“I loved men from when I was very young. I fell in love with my sports teacher at five. He married my other sports teacher, and I cried for weeks. I had a boyfriend for four years and then he left, and I got with his best friend. But continuously, over and over again, I was hurt by men.”

Without missing a beat, she adds:

“Not that that’s why I became gay.”

Harvey Weinstein

Though she and those around her are accepting, not everyone in the industry is. When asked if her fluid sexuality has impacted her career, she says she isn’t so sure:

“In the beginning, I don’t think it helped. One of the first things Harvey Weinstein ever said to me was, ‘You will never make it in this industry as a gay woman – get a beard.'”

She continues, saying this conversation took place “a long time before he tried to touch me.” In October 2017, Delevingne was one of over 50 women who made allegations against the disgraced producer, alleging he tried to make her kiss another actress in front of him.

Prior to the alleged unwanted touching incident, she shared:

“When I’d just started to audition for films, he was naming people [women] I’m friends with – famous people – and asking, ‘Have you slept with this person?’ I just thought: this is insane.”

Thank you for sharing so much with us, Cara!!
