See! She was allowed to walk free and now she is getting ballsy. UGH!
Last week, Judge Stan Strickland signed court documents that would require Casey Anthony, who was acquitted of the murder of her daughter, to serve one year of supervised probation in her separate check-fraud case. He insisted that she return to Orlando immediately to comply with her probation, but yesterday morning, her lawyers showed up at the courthouse to say that she won’t be returning to Central Florida anytime soon.
Cheney Mason and Jose Baez implored the judge to change the order, insisting that it would be beyond dangerous for their client to return to Orlando. It seems her lawyers have the same reverence for the systerm as their client does as Mr. Mason, upon exiting the courthouse told reporters they were “filing one motion to vacate that stupid order,” before implying that Casey “would not return” to Florida.
Baez explained further to The Today Show this morning:
“We have an issue of safety. The last thing we want to do is put Casey in harm’s way. They had to shut down streets for us to leave Orlando. I certainly don’t think that’s something they want to embrace for her to return.”
Sometimes the right thing to do isn’t easy, but it’s worth doing.
As of today, Casey was spotted still “hiding in plain sight” in Ohio, shopping and looking like she doesn’t have a care in the world. But should the judge deny her lawyers request – which he should – and she still refuses to return to Orlando, then its back to jail with her for violating her probation.
It’d be nice to nail her on something, wouldn’t it???
