Does Miley Cyrus need to be worried??
We’ve been hearing assurances she and Cody Simpson are still together, which seems like a strange thing to need frequently — but with Miley’s year it certainly makes a kind of sense. Gurl has had a bigger season of rebounds than Andre Drummond! (See, we can make sports jokes!)
The point is it’s understandable when fans read into a sudden drop in PDA as being another breakup rather than just the end of the honeymoon phase.
But since they apparently are still together, Cody may have some ‘splainin’ to do.
We already told you about him being spotted out for a walk with Playboy model Jordy Murray on Saturday. We don’t know how solid YOUR trust foundations are, but in our experience a delightful stroll with December 2019’s Playmate of the Month is enough to destroy most two-month-old relationships.

But it turns out later in the same weekend Cody was allegedly spotted kissing some girl in a club! Well, maybe…
An eyewitness told Page Six they saw Cody at the Little Sister Lounge in the East Village late Sunday night, and his behavior was a little sketchy:
“He was drinking and flirting with girls.”
While the source also says Cody was definitely “texting Miley while there” he also was not completely pining all alone:
“He was with all these girls and one was almost fainting, and he kissed her on the lips with no tongue.”
Whoa! If that’s true, that’s a definite violation. But it’s only one source, right?
Actually ANOTHER source told E! News the same basic story, with just a few minor details of difference. Their source said they saw Cody “dancing behind the DJ booth at Little Sister with a group of girls” which sounds exactly the same. However, this witness said one of the women “kissed him on the lips.” That’s a slightly different story (though often one with the same ending if you catch our drift).
The source also corroborates Cody “was texting Miley” but this one says “his friend kept trying to grab the phone for him to stop.”
Inneresting. Was someone being a bad influence trying to get him to forget about Hannah Montana and get with Miss New York instead??
Well, according to Cody, none of the above. His agent responded to the stories by telling E!:
“There is absolutely no truth to this story. Cody went out with a friend and all the rest is fabricated. Period.”
Well, that is certainly an unequivocal denial.
But doesn’t it always start with denial, before they finally admit what they did but say it wasn’t a big deal?
