American Idol Contestant Sues MTV For $40 MILLION!

Corey Clark
Remember Corey Clark?
He’s the guy that was kicked off American Idol season two after producers discovered he had three misdemeanor charges in his past.
Almost 10 years later, Corey is suing American Idol MTV talking about it!
The suit claims the music network and ex-MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello:

“persisted in a libelous crusade to defame [Clark’s] character and disparage his intellectual property rights with full knowledge that [he] had no access to a comparable media platform with which to respond.”

Clark wants a quarter of a million dollars for “out-of pocket losses and diminution of business profits.” Okay, that’s almost understandable– wait? That’s not all??
NOPE! Clark is also asking for: $1.5 million for the “defendants’ deliberate misconduct,” $10 million to “punish [MTV] for abusing their constitutional right of free press,” aaaand $25 million “to deter American media organizations similarly situated to [MTV] from decomposing the content of its News divisions into senseless tabloid fodder.”
Yeah, good luck with that Corey! LOL!
Can we say he’s a delusional mess without getting sued too??
