Glee left the air long before Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s Hamilton became a Broadway sensation… or did it?
One fan of the cult musical comedy pitched what a Hamilton-themed episode would look like — and it’s so accurate, other Gleeks are convinced the episode actually happened!

Tumblr user Murphels wrote an airtight outline of the hypothetical episode, which included Mr. Schue’s impetus for making it “Hamilton week” (because the New Directions are bored in history!); the characters’ motivations for singing each song (because Kurt’s mad at Blaine for ignoring him!); and a spot-on ending (Sue glaring at the Glee club for not falling apart, but of course!).

Honestly, that’s pretty gleeking spot on — and we’re not the only ones who think so!
Fans came out of the wordwark to praise the made-up episode. Some were so impressed, they could’ve sworn they saw it on TV already. Ha!

Why do I feel like this mist be a real episode and I can imagine it so perfectly in front of me

I can actually HEAR Kevin Mchale singing ‘What’d I Miss?’ in my head right now, this is terrifying

Some fans even added a few ideas of their own:
Lin Manuel Miranda would guest star as the history teacher and halfway through watching their mid-episode performance of “My Shot” he’d join in.

The only thing missing is that Mercedes and Rachel would argue over who got to be Angelica and Rachel would say something racist and then they’d sing-off Satisfied and Mercedes would do the rap

Ryan Murphy would be so proud.
