We should be outraged that another high school shooting has taken place in the United States.
As you likely know, on Friday morning, multiple innocent lives were taken at Santa Fe High School after a gunman (who is believed to be a student) began allegedly firing a shotgun during an art class. As this is the 22nd school shooting of 2018 and the THIRD from the last seven days, it’s clear that something needs to change in the States.

And, clearly, we aren’t the only ones outraged by this act of violence. As news of the shooting began making headlines, several prominent figures — including Hillary Clinton, Mark Hamill, Ellen DeGeneres, etc. — took to Twitter to weigh in on the matter.
You can find their reactions and more for yourself (below):
Every day that we fail to act on gun violence, we are failing our children. This should be a day for soul searching across America – and that soul searching should be matched with legislating to begin dealing with this national shame.

And it will keep happening & happening & happening & happening & happening & happening & happening & happening & happening & happening & happening until our gutless politicians stand up to the #NRA & pass the sensible guns laws the majority of Americans want. https://t.co/335ET7EONk

Santa Fe High School deserves better.
ALL AMERICA’S CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER.
We’ve become a nation where our kids feel afraid to go to school, where parents wonder if their children will come home alive.
Thoughts & prayers aren’t enough! We need action and legislation.
