The Hunger Games Theme Park Plan Is Taking Over FOUR Continents! Updates HERE!

The odds for a Hunger Games theme park are ever in our favor!
We had reported earlier how Lionsgate was pursuing options for a Hunger Games theme park, and now their CEO Jon Feltheimer gave an update on their plans:

“During the quarter, we also continued to extend The Hunger Games franchise into new lines of business. In addition to the mobile game partnership and The Hunger Games traveling museum we announced on the last call, we’re deep into conversations with prospective partners on 4 continents to explore theme park attractions and other location-based entertainment opportunities.”

Four continents? That’s way more than just Panem! Simply Capitol news!
We had previously made some suggestions for possible theme park attractions, and now we have even more ideas for potential rides!
1. It’s A Small Panem After All!
Using audio-animatronics dolls, this attraction would let boat riders see the impoverished persecuted citizens of all 12 Districts of Panem. The ride would end after the boat travels to District 13, and all the guests would promptly be arrested for treason and become Avoxes.
2. Blast Mountain!
You are on mine train ride in District Two’s The Nut, the mountain fortress used by the Capitol. The Rebellion uses explosives and traps you in; the ride has no survivors.
3. The Matter-Horn of Plenty!
You take a bobsled ride through the Horn of Plenty, while being tracked by a Muttation! The Muttation, because it is genetically enhanced, eats you alive every time. The attraction ends whenever the Muttation catches up with you and eats you and your family.
One potential attraction is something themed around the Capitol. But the bad guys live and spread horrible messages in the Capitol, so would the public want to go there? Based on how fans reacted to the Capitol Gallery set up at San Diego Comic-Con to promote Mockingjay, Part 1, the answer is yes.
Perhaps the Capitol Gallery was a way for Lionsgate to test the waters. Now they know that an experience themed around the Capitol would be well-received by fans. Then again, the Gallery was a free experience and offered free food, drinks, and the first look at the Mockingjay trailer. Those are three things you will not receive for free at a theme park.
You can imagine why the studio is taking up this task. Lionsgate is looking at how successful The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been for Warner Bros. and Universal.
