James Franco's Accusers Admit He's 'Not A Harvey Weinstein' -- BUT....

Just because James Franco didn’t go the full Harvey Weinstein doesn’t mean he didn’t abuse his power.
That’s one thing the women accusing the actor of sexual misconduct made clear in a Tuesday interview on Good Morning America.
While Sarah Tither-Kaplan believed The Disaster Artist star “created an exploitative environment” at his Studio 4 film school, she admitted his behavior wasn’t anything close to that of the bigger predators in Hollywood.

She explained on the ABC morning program:

“James is absolutely not a Harvey Weinstein. He’s not an unfeeling monster who has no sense of reality.”

The 26-year-old actress did claim, however, that the Golden Globe winner abused his influence when teaching aspiring actresses the craft of the sex scene. Apparently, things got way too racy…
Tither-Kaplan revealed that when she was in Franco’s sex scenes course at his LA-based school, many of the women felt uncomfortable with the work. She continued:

“There were a lot of scenes that were added after we were given the original scripts that I felt ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I wished I had more time to consider them or understand the artistic value of them. A lot of times they seemed gratuitous or exploitative├óΓé¼┬ª He created an exploitative environment on his sets.”

According to Tither-Kaplan, Franco’s power made her and other four women who accused him of harassment afraid to speak out for years, as doing so would risk their careers in the industry.

Though Franco isn’t just being accused of taking advantage of his students; he had also allegedly crossed lines with the women he dated. Fellow accuser Violet Paley claimed the 39-year-old pressured her to perform oral sex on him while the two were in a consensual relationship.
She remembered of the alleged incident:

“He kinda like, pushed my head down and was saying, like, ├óΓé¼╦£C’mon.'”

Acknowledging that her relationship with Franco complicates her story, she added:

“I am regretful. I was young. He was a celebrity I looked up to.”

Both women had previously come forward with their allegations against Franco earlier this month, as well as calling out the actor on Twitter following his Best Actor win at the Globes.
Franco’s reps had no comment for GMA except to direct them to his earlier statement on the subject, in which he claimed the accusations were “not accurate.” That response isn’t enough for his accusers, who say they want a direct apology from the actor.
