Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes has sadly been accused of bleaching her skin in anticipation of walking in the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

The supermodel has hit back at accusations lobbed at her on social media, claiming she’s been lightening her skin, after she posted a video of herself in the Fantasy Bra on Instagram.

Some of her followers wrote:

“I don’t think she bleached her skin I think vs is probably some how making her look lighter or using lighting or makeup just she looks off she is usually darker I hate VS don’t trust them it wasn’t a dig to JT it was just skepticism to the marketing campaign”

“Why does she look like pale?”
“Wtf they lightened her skin?”
“photoshop till she looks white? Shes beautiful the way she is, i dont get it.”
Others came to Jasmine’s defense:
“I can’t believe ppl don’t understand how black gorgeous skin reacts to different lighting, of course she looks lighter its almost winter and the lights are blinding bright. Queens don’t bleach their skin. ├░┼╕╦£┬ì├░┼╕ΓÇÖ┼╜”
“what’s wrong with being dark? she IS dark she’s a dark skin black model lol this is just lighting and plus being dark is everything GREAT ├░┼╕╦£┬ì all shades are beautiful”
“Bright white lights are beaming down on her but the first conclusion you jump to is her bleaching her skin? Jesus”
As the accusations piled up, the 25-year-old herself responded, saying:

She also addressed the issue on Twitter:

It’s obvious from looking at photos of her that the lighter skin was simply a result of bright lights in the studio.
