It was an emotional night for all.
We’re finally coming down to the wire on American Idol. The final contestants are in the process of being selected, but as we’ve all come to learn, there isn’t room for all.
You probably remember Chris Medina’s audition from a few weeks ago. His heartbreaking story and tremendous talent won the judges over instantly and until last night, he seemed to be a shoe-in for a top spot. Unfortunately, when push came to shove, he just wasn’t as good as some of the other people in the lot.
Jennifer Lopez was given the difficult task of telling the young hopeful the bad news and while she managed to keep it together for a little while, once he took his finally strides away from stardom, she broke down into tears.
Scoff if you must, be we have a feeling this is genuine emotion you are about to witness. If she was playing up the moment for the cameras, we think she would have been in much bigger hysterics than this. Still, we guess we’ll never know for sure…so we’ll let you decide.
