Even though everyone pretty much knew it and was celebrating last week when the news first leaked to the general public, we’re still pretty stoked to have this all settled and confirmed for us.
Ryan Seacrest, the last remaining original personality still associated with the American Idol empire, made the news official this morning as he shared that indeed Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick, Jr. would be judging the 13th season of Idol. Along with Keith Urban, the pair will look to find the country’s next, huge, musical star — and they’ll even have some help from some old friends!
Though he won’t be on hand as a judge, Randy Jackson hasn’t left the Idol family completely in the lurch. The “dawg” is also confirmed to return this season, but as a mentor to the contestants.
Good deal, if you ask us!
But will this threesome be the one that sticks? Or will we have to go through all of this again next season?! Here’s hoping for the best for them all!
And congrats to Harry, who’s just swooned his way back onto TV! 🙂
