Jennifer Lopez is still feeling the blues about indefinitely postponing her wedding to Alex Rodriguez.
As you’re aware, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer and former MLB star are still in the midst of a lengthy engagement period since they were forced to put their highly-anticipated summer nuptials on hold due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. All things considered, though, Jenny can’t help but feel the disappointment while waiting for things to eventually change!

On Tuesday, the 50-year-old shared an update on where things stand with the wedding planning while virtually appearing on the Today show:
“Nobody knows. There’s no planning right now. You just have to kind of wait and see how this all plays out. You know, it’s disappointing on one level.”
J.Lo told the outlet she had every intention of slowing down her jam-packed schedule to take time off and focus on her personal life. But for the bride-to-be, that meant getting hitched to the former pro athlete with their friends, family, and loved ones there to support instead of being cooped up at home with no real idea of when they’ll be able to safely move forward as scheduled:
“After the Super Bowl and after World of Dance, after we finished filming it, I planned to take time off which is what we’re doing right now. But at the same time, we had a lot of plans for this summer and this year but everything is kind of on hold right now.”
Lopez continued:
“I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans, but I’m also like, you know what, God has a bigger plan and we just have to wait and see. Maybe it’s going to be better? I have to believe that it will be.”
Aww. Keep up that positive attitude, gurl! Although it’s been over a year since the couple got engaged on a beach in the Bahamas in March 2019, there IS a light at the end of this tunnel and in the meantime, the adorable pair continue to hold each other close during the quarantine.

Back in early April, the Hustlers star opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about her desire to walk down the aisle in 2020 and said she was still hopeful to see “in a few months how this all pans out.”
“It did affect it a little bit. We will see what happens now. Honestly, I really don’t know what’s going to happen now as far as dates of anything like that. We’re kinda of just in a holding pattern like the rest of the world.
But then a month later, a source told E! News things were postponed indefinitely:
“They have been struggling for weeks over this decision, but with no return to normalcy in the near future, the couple felt postponing the wedding was the safest and smartest choice. Guests have recently been notified that the wedding will not be happening in late summer as anticipated.”
Again, this was definitely a smart decision to make! Jennifer’s fourth (and hopefully, final) marriage will feel that much sweeter whenever the time is right.
Let’s hope things around the world calm down sooner rather than later!
