Joe Simpson 2.0 Gets The Shaft

David Archuleta‘s overbearing stage father has been banned from American Idol.

The dad from hell will still be allowed to sit in the audiences during taping days, but that’s it. He won’t be allowed backstage or at rehearsals.

Producers are said to be fed up with Jeff Archuleta’s shady ways, and other contestants were reportedly creeped out by him.

Let’s hope David’s dad is just like Joe Simpson and not Joe Jackson!
