UPDATE 6:50 P.M. EST: Dr. Luke’s legal team responded to the story going public with an official statement declaring Katy Perry not only never accused him — she exculpated him:
“Katy Perry herself confirmed that Dr. Luke did not rape her. Kesha’s accusation to the contrary – just like her other outrageous lies about Dr. Luke – is baseless and irresponsible, and it is disrespectful to both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke. In his defamation lawsuit against Kesha, Dr. Luke seeks damages for the harm caused by these malicious falsehoods.”
Holy shit.
For years now all of Kesha‘s accusations against Dr. Luke have been out in the open — or so we thought.
Thanks to new legal docs obtained by The Blast, we now know the music producer (whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald) is specifically denying one more thing we’d never heard — the claim he raped Katy Perry!

According to Dr. Luke’s filing, Kesha told her friend Lady GaGa all about it in a text message:
“On February 26, 2016 Defendant sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a/ Lady Gaga which repeated Defendant’s false claim that Gottwald had raped her.
In this text message, Defendant also falsely asserted that Gottwald had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a/ Katy Perry.”
Dr. Luke goes on to claim GaGa posted on social media about him as a direct result of what Kesha told her.
Whoa. We knew Katy wasn’t happy and chose to stop her professional relationship with Dr. Luke a while back. But all she said afterward was that she wanted to “leave the nest.” She’s never made any accusations of sexual misconduct.
Katy was deposed as part of the ongoing legal battle, but details of that deposition have not been made public.
Eesh. This case just got so much messier.
