Kim Kardashian West isn’t about to let a few relentless internet trolls ruin her big night!
The 38-year-old dropped jaws when she stepped out in a skintight, custom Thierry Mugler design (seen above), alongside husband Kanye West at the 2019 Met Gala on Monday.
The all-nude look was so incredible unbelievable that many quickly accused KKW of manipulating her waist to pull it off on the carpet!

This is hardly the first time the KUWTK star has been called out for the way her unique figure looks in various outfits; in fact, she even took her own trip down memory lane and ranked her past Met Gala red carpet looks just before this year’s grand event.
But never mind any previous dresses, as the real concern here is the way Kim’s HIGHLY corseted mid-section looked in Mugler’s ensemble.
A few concerned users on Twitter wrote:
“Where did Kim Kardashian’s internal organs spend the night at Met Gala? Because I can’t figure out how anatomically possible it would be to fit them all inside that tiny waist.”
“I wish @KimKardashian would use her platform to speak on things like body positivity but she keeps making her waist unrealistically narrow and her ass unrealistically big. It’s disgusting and gross and why would you even? The shit people with money do”
“Is Kim Kardashian’s waist even real?? ? #MetBall2019”
But Mrs. West’s personal trainer, Melisa Alcantra, took to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight for anyone who thinks her client’s cinched frame is fake.
She wrote over Kim’s post of the look, saying:
“To make things clear: 1. This dress is corseted BUT 2. Kim trains her ass off 6 days a f**king week, she wakes up early AF and is dedicated. 3. I paved the road for her but SHE did the work! MOST IMPORTANTLY I don’t give a s**t about your opinions on her body, if you think [it’s] fake or not! I see her every morning, I see her train and I see her sweat and I see all the work she does outside the gym and THAT is commendable!”
There you have it, y’all!
It sounds like North West‘s momma is probably spending just as much time working on her law degree, as she does putting in work on her body!
But all jokes aside, we have to say — the woman looked great! And despite the opinions of body shamers online, we think she absolutely nailed the famed designer’s vision for the night.
The reality TV star explained the months-long process of getting the look just right, telling E! News:
“This is the first time in 20 years that Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Thierry Mugler. He hasn’t designed in 20 years, so to come and design this gown for me is such an honor. This is about eight months in the making. He just envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, on the red carpet, wet, dripping, that is the vibe tonight.”
